Potholes filled and fly tipping cleared in Coatham alley after complaints

In recent weeks I have been chasing up issues of fly tipping and potholes in various alleys in Coatham.

The alley adjoining High St West and Coatham Road from the Lobster pub entrance I reported a few weeks ago following a resident’s complaint who asked if it could be tarmacked.

On inspection it wasn’t deemed so bad as to require full tarmacking but there were lots of holes and so I requested to highways that they be filled in.

This alley is often cursed with loose litter and tonight when I checked, was no different. However, the fly tipping I reported was removed last week and it is looking so much better than last time I was here

Tomorrow I am in the alleys once again, this time onsite at the back of Cleveland Street and Newcomen Terrace requesting action to improve the surface with tarmac (again). Originally these were back alleyways but these roads are now main routes in and out for residents who live in the redeveloped properties here.

Road surfaces are unfit as main routes for residents and require levelling and filling. Fly tipping is also a problem in this area of Coatham
